OUTERNATIONAL SCIENCE

Outernational Science celebrates creative musical influences from around the globe with resident DJs Cheb i Sabbah and Janaka Selekta plus this month's very special guest Karsh Kale and Classical Indian Vocalist Tina Mann & Party. Don't miss this unique party that not only features a host of groundbreaking musicians but also free full service hookah lounge and chill space!

This month features producer, composer, tabla player, dj, musician, songwriter, remix artist and founder of Mighty Junn Productions Karsh Kale.

Described by Billboard Magazine as a “visionary composer and producer”, Karsh Kale (pronounced “Kursh Kah-lay”) is one of global electronic music's brightest stars. While his peers view Kale as a force of nature on both tabla and drums, Kale is an equally innovative song writer, producer, composer and DJ. Whether playing live or as a DJ . Kale has brought his infectious global sound to almost every major city on four continents. Kale is equally renown by both fans and critics as the pioneer of a sound that captures a panorama of influences - past and future, analog and digital - bringing classical Indian music into the Western mainstream rock and electronic vernacular. In a span of less than seven years, Kale released four critically acclaimed solo albums on Six Degrees Records, became a founding member of the super groups Tabla Beat Science and Realize Live, recorded and remixed countless artists, and has collaborated with the likes of Zakir Hussain, Paul Oakenfold, Sting, Anoushka Shankar, Salim-Sulaiman, Bill Laswell, MIDIval Punditz, Norah Jones, Sultan Khan, Paula Cole, Susheela Raman and Herbie Hancock. Karsh has also created Kollektiv, a national crew of DJs' producers, musicians and artists showcasing cutting edge underground music through Kollektiv events across the country. www.karshkale.com or www.myspace.com/karshkale

Resident dj Cheb i Sabbah has been enchanting audiences around the world with his sublime mix of Asian and Indian stylings that hold a firm root in both the rythym and movement. This will be his only regular monthly event starting September 12th, 2008. Don't miss the opportunity to come and imbibe in the stylings of a musical master!
